Takayama Village History and Folk Custom Museum

Materials about the village are collected, stored, and displayed in order to make its history and culture understood correctly. The display includes Yukura cave, Fujisawa-yaki (pottery), and the materials explaining the tools and furniture used in everyday life in the village.
Entrance fee: adult 100 yen, elementary and junior high school student 50 yen/ Open 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., closed on Mondays (if Monday is a national holiday, the following day is closed instead), between December 28 and January 3

Issa Yukari-no Sato Museum

The isolated house, where Kobayashi Issa (a poet), used to visit, has been restored and built at this place. Issa's character is introduced by using cartoon pictures and miniature dolls. The original book of one of his three great works, Chichi-no Shuen Nikki, and other valuable materials are displayed.
Entrance fee: adult 500 yen, elementary and junior high school student 150 yen, group discount (20 or more) adult 400 yen, elementary and junior high school student 100 yen/ Rental fee for the isolated house 1,000 yen/ Open 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Admission closes at 4 p.m.), closed on Mondays (if Monday is a national holiday, the following day is closed instead), the following day of a national holiday, between December 28 and January 3
